Sophie Amstell additionally approached us to film a play being performed by Thimble Theatre titled Walk Ashore. The play featured a single performer and a single musician throughout the entire performance.
Myself and two peers went off with the cameras to film the play. One camera was situated on a second floor balcony to capture some of the aerial stunts while the other remained on the ground floor to capture more close up shots.
It was not an easy process as Thimble Theatre did not wish to reveal anything to us before we started filming making it difficult to capture specific moments effectively. Then adding to this they never produced the music sound track as they claimed they would.
However my peer Zak worked endlessly with the footage to try and produce something of worth. With a little help from me to find some sound bites to accompany the footage we managed to just about get it done. We know the company was not very impressed with the production, however I would argue that we would have been able to do a more professional job if they have given us more information and followed through on things they had said. Add to this their rude demeanor to myself and peers when filming, we felt as if they thought they were doing us a favor apposed to us doing them the favor to help promote their fledgling theatre company.
